1. Acceptance

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Convergent Systems LLC ("we," "us"), operator of Still Running SI at stillrunningsi.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, subscribing to the newsletter, submitting content, or commenting, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. If you are under 18, you may use the Site only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms. The newsletter, submissions, and comments are for people 13 and older only. If you use the Site for a business, you represent that you're authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.

3. Informational content only; not professional advice

The Site is a free database that summarizes publicly available case studies and user submissions about business automations. Everything on it is for general information only. It is not legal, financial, tax, accounting, security, or other professional advice, and it isn't a recommendation to buy any product. Many entries summarize customer stories published by software vendors, and the figures (savings, revenue, hours, resolution rates) are as reported by the source; we haven't independently verified them. Results vary. Before you rely on anything here, do your own research and consult a qualified professional.

4. Your content: submissions and comments

Your license to us

You keep ownership of what you submit or post ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, edit (for example for length, clarity, formatting, or to remove personal or confidential details), adapt, publish, display, and distribute it, on the Site, in the newsletter, and in related promotion, in any media. You can ask us to remove your User Content at any time (see Reporting). We'll remove it from the Site within a reasonable time, though copies may remain in backups or in newsletter issues already sent.

Your promises

By submitting User Content, you confirm that:

• you're at least 13 and have the right to share it, including your employer's or client's permission where needed;
• it contains no confidential client data, trade secrets, or non-public information you're obligated to keep private;
• it contains no personal information about other people (names of private individuals, contact details, customer records, health or financial details, and so on);
• it doesn't infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights; and
• it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and you aren't being paid to post it unless you clearly say so.

We don't pay for User Content, and we have no obligation to publish it.

5. Community guidelines and comment policy

Comments and submissions should help other operators learn what actually lasts. All comments are held for review, and we publish only those that follow these rules:

• Stay on topic. Talk about the automation, the tools, what worked, and what broke.
• Be civil. No harassment, threats, hate speech, slurs, or personal attacks.
• No personal information. Don't post anyone's personal details, including your own email address or phone number, or information about a private individual.
• No confidential data. Don't post client names, client data, credentials, API keys, or other non-public business information.
• No spam or undisclosed promotion. No link-dropping, affiliate links, or ads. If you work for or are paid by a vendor you mention, say so.
• No infringement. Don't paste copyrighted material you don't have the right to share. Quote briefly and link instead.
• No false or defamatory statements. Share honest experiences and label opinions as opinions.
• Nothing illegal, including content that promotes illegal activity or violates someone else's rights.
• No impersonation of a person, a business, or us.

We may edit a comment to remove personal or confidential details. We may also decline to publish or remove any comment or submission, for any reason or no reason, and may block people who repeatedly break these rules.

6. Reporting content and our right to remove it

To report a comment, entry, or anything else on the Site (for example personal information, confidential data, inaccuracies, abuse, or spam), email legal@stillrunningsi.com with the page URL, the content concerned, and why you're reporting it. For copyright complaints, follow our Copyright and DMCA policy. For corrections or removal requests about a business described in an entry, see our Accuracy and Corrections policy.

We may review, edit, refuse, or remove any content, and suspend or block access to any part of the Site, at any time and at our discretion. We don't promise to monitor everything, and we aren't responsible for User Content posted by others.

7. Third-party links, affiliate links, and sponsors

The Site links to third-party websites, including the original sources of entries and the tools they mention. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, products, policies, or practices. Your use of them is at your own risk and governed by their terms.

Some links are affiliate links: if you sign up or buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We also accept sponsorships and may offer paid featured entries. Paid placements are labeled "Sponsored" or "Featured (paid)." See our Affiliate and Sponsorship Disclosures. Any sponsorship or paid featured entry is subject to a separate written agreement.

8. Intellectual property

The Site's design, text we wrote, logo, and the selection, arrangement, and organization of the database are owned by Convergent Systems LLC and protected by copyright (as a compilation) and other laws. Facts aren't owned by anyone, and you're welcome to quote short excerpts with a link back. You may not copy, scrape, or republish the database or a substantial part of it, or use it to build a competing database, without our written permission.

Source materials (case studies, articles, quotes, and trademarks) belong to their respective owners and are credited and linked on each entry. Product names and logos are trademarks of their owners. Their mention doesn't imply endorsement of or by us. Copyright concerns: see our Copyright and DMCA policy.

9. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Site. That includes interfering with its operation, probing or bypassing security or rate limits, sending automated bulk requests or submissions, scraping at a volume that burdens the Site, uploading malware, or using the Site to break the law.

10. No warranties

THE SITE, THE NEWSLETTER, AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR AVAILABILITY. We don't warrant that any automation described here will work for you, is still running, or will produce the reported results, or that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CONVERGENT SYSTEMS LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR ANY CONTENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SITE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR (B) US $100. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

12. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Convergent Systems LLC and its members, managers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your User Content, your misuse of the Site, or your breach of these Terms or of anyone else's rights.

13. Informal dispute resolution and governing law

Talk to us first. Before filing any claim, you agree to email legal@stillrunningsi.com with a description of the dispute and the relief you want, and to give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally. We'll do the same for you if you've given us a way to reach you. Either party may still bring an individual claim in small-claims court, or seek urgent injunctive relief, at any time.

Governing law and venue. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state courts located in the City of Williamsburg or James City County, Virginia, or the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and you and we consent to personal jurisdiction there.

14. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to all or part of the Site at any time. Sections 4, 8, and 10 through 16 survive.

15. Severability, waiver, and entire agreement

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, that part will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the policies linked here, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a transfer of the Site.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms. We'll post changes here and update the effective date. Material changes will be noted on the Site or in the newsletter before they take effect. If you keep using the Site after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
