Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 16, 2026. Still Running SI is operated by Convergent Systems LLC, a Virginia limited liability company based in Williamsburg, Virginia, USA.

This policy explains what personal information Still Running SI ("we," "us") collects at stillrunningsi.com, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Newsletter signups

When you subscribe at our signup form, we collect your email address and add it to our mailing list at our email provider, Resend, along with your subscription status. The form also sends a hidden timestamp and an empty spam-trap field to filter bots; those aren't stored. Resend records delivery events (for example sent, delivered, bounced, or marked as spam) so the list stays healthy. Open and click tracking are currently turned off. If we turn them on, we'll update this policy first.

Workflow submissions

Our submission form isn't open yet. When it opens, we'll collect what you choose to submit: details about an automation (such as title, industry, tools, cost, hours saved, what broke, and lessons) and any contact details you give us so we can verify the entry. We publish the workflow details. We don't publish your contact details. Please don't include confidential client information or anyone's personal information in a submission (see our Terms).

Comments

Where comments are enabled on an entry, we collect the comment text, an optional display name (it shows as "Anonymous" if you leave it blank), the entry you commented on, and the time. We don't ask for an email address. To limit spam to a few comments per hour, our server computes a one-way, salted hash of your IP address and stores that hash with the comment. We don't store the raw IP address. A hash is pseudonymous rather than fully anonymous, so we treat it as personal information and keep it only as long as described below. Comments are held for review and appear publicly only after we approve them. Your display name and comment text are public once approved.

Messages you send us

If you email us (for example at legal@stillrunningsi.com), we receive your email address, your message, and anything you attach.

Technical data processed by our host

The site runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages and Pages Functions). To deliver and secure the site, Cloudflare processes standard technical data for every visit: your IP address, browser user agent, the pages and files requested, the referring page, and timestamps. Cloudflare may log this data for security, abuse prevention, and performance, and it keeps those logs under its own policies. Through our Cloudflare account we can see aggregated traffic statistics (such as request counts) and short-lived error logs from our server functions. We don't use those to identify or profile visitors. Cloudflare also tells browsers they may send it network error reports when a page fails to load.

Cookies, analytics, and tracking

How we use information

We don't use personal information for targeted advertising, and we don't make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you based solely on automated processing or profiling.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect rights, safety, or property, or as part of a business transfer (such as a merger or sale of the site), in which case this policy, or one at least as protective, will continue to apply.

No selling and no cross-context behavioral advertising

We do not sell personal information. We do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we don't process it for targeted advertising, as those terms are defined under California, Virginia, and similar US state laws. We have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of anyone under 16.

How long we keep it

Unsubscribing and deleting your data

Your US state privacy rights (California, Virginia, and similar states)

Depending on where you live, laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA), the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, and similar laws in Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states may give you rights over your personal information. Not all of these laws may apply to a site our size, but we offer the following rights to every US resident:

How to make a request: email legal@stillrunningsi.com with the subject "Privacy request" and say which right you're using. We may need to verify your request, usually by confirming you control the email address involved. We don't ask for more information than we need. An authorized agent may submit a request for you with your signed permission, and we may ask you to confirm your identity directly. We'll respond within 45 days. If we need more time (up to another 45 days, as the law allows), we'll tell you why.

Appeals: if we decline your request, you can appeal by replying with the subject "Privacy appeal." We'll respond in writing within 60 days and explain our decision. If you're a Virginia resident and you disagree with the result of your appeal, you may contact the Virginia Attorney General at oag.state.va.us. Residents of other states may contact their state Attorney General.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising. Because we don't sell, share, or run targeted ads, honoring GPC requires no change to how the site works for you. We treat Do Not Track signals the same way. We don't track you across other sites.

Children's privacy

Still Running SI is a site for business operators and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. You must be at least 13 to subscribe, submit, or comment. If we learn that we've collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email legal@stillrunningsi.com.

Security

We use HTTPS across the site, limit who can access our accounts, and keep collection to a minimum. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send us anything you'd consider confidential.

Where data is processed

We're based in the United States. Cloudflare and Resend may process data in the United States and in other countries where they operate.

Changes to this policy

We'll post any changes here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information we already have, we'll give notice on the site or in the newsletter before it takes effect.
